The July 2011 update of its expenditure analysis module now provides data on a supplier’s BEE scorecard, in addition to a consolidated BEE expenditure analysis report, says Procurement information solutions provider Ezee-Dex.
“This feature enables companies to analyse B-BBEE expenditure on the spot. Any B-BBEE report you need on a vendor should take no longer than a few minutes,” MD Cathrin Heath tells SmartProcurement.
Having this detailed information available will ensure that a company is able to select any criteria it requires for its internal / external processes.
Heath says that the while companies using Ezee-Dex implement this update, in the background the development team has been interrogating the new feature for possible improvements in conjunction with the directors.
Ezee-Dex Industrial Procurement Services has a huge database of 65 000 companies and 220 000 products, all contained on a disc, which buyers in mines and industry can use when sourcing products, says Heath.
“It can save time because it imports spend data from your existing accounts system via a comma-seperated-values file, directly into the Ezee-Dex procurement system,” says Heath.
It has the potential to reduce purchasing costs dramatically, while also identifying BBBEE suppliers easily, making it easy for buyers to increase their BBBEE spend.
