A leading FMCG company is looking for a DC Manager to be based at their main DC in Johannesburg.
Manage the staff of the warehouse to safely deliver the optimum service level performance for the most cost effective outcome. Be accountable for the development of people and the provision of a competitive and compliant distribution centre operation that will meet the requirements of all business units, customers and consumers.
- Bachelor degree level or equivalent
- Practical experience in relevant field with a proven track record in a role and context of similar complexity
- 10+ Years’ Experience
- 5+ Years Management experience running a large-scale Distribution Centre
- 5+ Years relevant and successful operational experience in a leadership role at market/ business environment
- Warehouse & Transport management or related experience in any other relevant senior Supply Chain leadership role
- Relevant operational experience at market/ business level, in the following areas is beneficial:
- Customer Service, Demand & Supply Planning, Sales
- Finance: Business Planning, budget control, cost management
- Technical & Production
- Purchasing
- Experience in the management of projects such as:
- Distribution Network Redesign
- High Performance Logistics
- Customer Logistics
- Desirable to have worked in a Lean organisiton and/or experience in lean tools and management
