To oversee the overall financial and payroll accounting and ensure financial and statutory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial accounts by ensuring accurate debtors, creditors and general ledger
- Oversee the management reporting process
- Oversee the compilation of Annual Financial statements
- Act as liaison with external auditors
- Responsible for payroll input (financial) and accounting
- Deductions
- UIF
- IRP5s
- WCA
- Tax and other statutory compliance – i.e. Income Tax, VAT, WCA
Experience
- 10 to 15 years’ experience in the use of accounting software and spreadsheets of which 5 plus years in a supervisory role.
- Experience to handle a range of routine financial activities, such as payroll, billing, and support to accounting clerk’s and administrators.
- Experience to handle large volumes of routine financial transactions in payroll and to generate/handle the documents associated with these transactions.
- Experience in the preparation of documents for all SARS submissions and declarations, Pension fund documents, submissions and declarations.
- Financial reporting to trial balance level.
